An experienced, professional, traditional jazz quartet providing music for any occasion. Their tunes, jazz, ballads and 20’s pop songs have a beginning, middle and, end which most people like.
An experienced, professional, traditional jazz quartet providing lively music for any occasion. Their tunes, jazz, ballads and 20’s pop songs have a beginning, middle and, end which most people like.
The instruments (Trumpet, Clarinet, Banjo & Sousaphone) are acoustic (not dependent on electricity) which makes this jazz band versatile as they can perform anywhere and easily relocate.
As well as their nineteen twenties style striped blazers they have evening dress tailcoats for the formal twenties white tie and tails theme.
They are well known jazz & popular tunes, mainly of 1900’s to 1940’s in the traditional New Orleans style. If you want background music during a meal or exciting foot tapping dancing music for a party then the band can provide it.
They tailor the play list to the client’s wishes from their repertiore, a selection is included on the back of this leaflet. If you would like a special tune not on the list they will learn it for you (provided it fits their style!) and, unusually for a jazz band they have some waltz's in their repertoire.
A typical event could include the band playing gentle music while the guests are arriving or at a wedding while the photos are being taken, then moving to the dance floor to play music for dancing at whatever tempo the guests want. Sometimes they've led the procession of wedding guests from the ceremony to the reception.
They have played at many venues, inside, outside, concerts, corporate receptions, shows, clubs, parties, openings, fetes, promotions, jazz festivals, dinner dances, parades, receptions, weddings, funerals, etc.
These have taken place in hotels, village halls, on boats, in marquee's and stately homes. they have played in halls containing 750 people and in a suburban front room at a rainy barbecue.
They are always present themselves in a smart uniform, usually striped blazers and if outside they wear boaters to give a "Twenties" look to set off the polished professional performance.
