We are a modern ceilidh band with a folk-rock sound; tunes played on the mandolin or banjo with full electric backing.
This ceilidh band performs a wide range of jigs, reels and hornpipes for the popular dances, eg Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow, Canadian barn dance, Dashing White Seergeant and others. We are also singers and enjoy performing popular songs with a Scottish flavour, by, for example, Paulo Nuttini, The Proclaimers or Primal Scream.

We're happy to travel within 25 miles of Glasgow - any further out and we may have to discuss mileage.

Playlists / Performance Info:

Tune sets: 3 or 4 trad tunes, jigs,reels, hornpipes, polkas or waltzes for the ceilidh tunes plus popular songs. Requests? If you have a special song, we’ll learn it if it suits our instruments.

Experience:

This is a new act: the members have performed in hundreds of professional gigs, including music festivals,weddings, private parties and top hotels, both in the U.K. and internationally. We are qualified musicians, Two of us are guitar teachers and one teaches mandolin too.

Tech Details:

Line Up: Amplified mandolin/banjo, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass and drums, & vocals.
Equipment: We have our own sound system and a small amount of stage lights.
PA System: 400 watt and separate bass amp
Light System: Just a couple of stage lights
Setup Times: 40 minutes
Area Required: 16 square metres
Sets and Times: 3 sets of 45 minutes
Tech Requirements: Minimum two safe plug sockets.

A great wee ceilidh night at Jimmy's Cellar Bar (downstairs). A really lively, friendly band who took it in their stride when some dancers came up with their own versions of the dances!Excellent musicians.
