(One of the most talented musicians to have recently graduated from Leeds College of Music. I taught Joe in a one-to-one composing lecture for the three years of his degree. Joe approached his studies with great maturity and was very thirsty to further improve his abilities. He is a remarkably positive person and this is also matched by a genuine enthusiasm for whatever he is doing. I often set Joe tasks that were beyond his comfort zone, but he always surprised me by rising to the challenge and putting in a huge effort.
Has played in numerous bands and works on his own independent material. He has a very ambitious attitude and sets himself very high standards in everything he does. He was very popular with his peers and is proficient when working as part of a group. His nature is very warm and personable. He can express himself confidently and is good at solving problems. Through independent song writing and collaborating with others, Joe has learnt how to manage his time effectively and work to deadlines. He is punctual and well prepared).
