John Scott has worked as a professional comedian and comedy writer for over 15 years now.
He is the winner of the biggest cash prize ever handed out at the Edinburgh Festival when he won the Take the Mic completion and the 14000 pound first prize.
He also won the Scottish segment of the Spike Milligan award for new talent a few years prior.
As a warm up act he has supported Frankie Boyle, Ross Noble , Tom Stade, Stewart Lee, Stewart Francis and Sarah Millican.
John headlines and hosts many of the top UK comedy clubs and hosts his own monthly show at The Stand Comedy Club.
As a writer he has worked for BBC radio 4 and is currently working on a new topical comedy show for BBC radio Scotland.
John also works extensively on the corporate circuit and has appeared alongside such names as Jack Charlton, Peter Shilton, Nick Leeson (Rouge Trader) and again many more.
He performs regularly on the sportsmans after dinner circuit and just this year has worked alongside Frank Bruno, Alan Shearer and other such notable sporting celebrities.
His TV and Radio work includes Radio Scotlands Fred Macaulay show, BBC Radio Newcastle (Various) The Hour, Edinburgh Nights, The Rovers Pub Quiz, Live at Jongleurs for Loaded TV and Late Nite at The Fringe.
